Grand Jersey is asking islanders to send in photos (?snapshots in time?) that feature Grand Jersey from bygone eras, as part of Local and Community History Month. The month of May is Local and Community History Month and to celebrate this, Grand Jersey will be exhibiting the photos which islanders and visitors to the hotel have sent in throughout the month of April. These can of course be photocopies. And as part of this search for snippets of the past, Grand Jersey will also be on the lookout for a winning photo ? an image that not only captures a memory but also captures the essence of Grand Jersey and Jersey at that time. Judging the competition will be pictures editor of the JEP, Peter Mourant and Grand Jersey managing director, Jane Goodyer.
