When four-year old Amanda McCready goes missing in the notoriously rough and dangerous neighbourhood of Dorchester, Boston, the hunt to find her soon turns into a labyrinth of crime, twisted secrets and tales of broken dreams and heartache.
The girl?s mother, Helene (Amy Ryan), exists in a haze of drugs and alcohol and rarely sobers up long enough to notice where her daughter is. When Amanda disappears, the case is initially taken on by a special police force team, led by Jack Doyle (Morgan Freeman).
This is an enigmatic case and there are many obstacles standing in the way, in the form of drug dealers, liars and money-hungry deceivers. But instead of steering clear of these outsiders, Jack insists his team work with them, using their knowledge and inside information to their advantage.
Despite all this, the child?s aunt isn?t satisfied that the police are making enough progress and she consequently decides to persuade private investigators Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) and Angela Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan) to help her with her plight. Although the detectives have no experience in dealing with similar cases, they know the neighbourhood inside-out and could ultimately unlock the mystery faster than even the most authoritative of law forces.
Once Kenzie and Gennaro have opened the investigation, they realise too late that there is no turning back. They are faced with a torrent of violence and deception that will risk their lives, and a moral dilemma that could destroy everything. Everyone so desperately wanted the truth?until they found it.
This influential and poignant film is Ben Affleck?s directorial debut and is based of a novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane.

Following on from the 2003 film ?Hulk?, this is a brand new, re-written version of the original Hulk comics and television series.
Fans of the Hulk will be glad to know that although the action packed plot is only a loose sequel to ?Hulk?, it is a much closer account of the comic and TV stories.
Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) is a shadow of his former self; a man struggling to rid himself of his fury-fuelled alter ego whilst attempting to escape the neurotic man-hunt of his evil adversary, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), who is hell-bound on exposing Bruce?s covert powers. On top of all this, Bruce is dealing with the sorrow and pain of a broken heart after being forced away from his one true love, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) ? who unfortunately, is also the daughter of General Ross.
As the battles of war, love and conscience ensue, the Hulk is unexpectedly met head-on with a new arch-enemy, The Abomination (Tim Roth). Shockingly, the new-comer?s monstrous power and strength exceeds that of the Hulk?s and threatens to destroy New York City.
On 13 June 2008, the scientist faces a life-altering decision; He finally has the chance to say goodbye to his demons and choose a life of normality as Bruce Banner. But if he is to defeat The Abomination and save the people of New York, he must sacrifice this and risk existing permanently as The Incredible Hulk.
