Charity Screening: Dead Poets Society

Charity Screening: Dead Poets Society

To commemorate the tragic death of Robin Williams, Gallery is staging a special one off charity screening of Dead Poets Society raising money for the mental health charity Mind Jersey this Friday evening, 15th August. We’re doing so with a view to honouring the extraordinary spirit of Robin Williams and the urgent need to address an issue that concerns all – mental health.

We’re doing so after hearing that SecretCinema were looking for partners to join them in hosting a screening that will happen simultaneously across the UK and beyond. The special screening in memory of Robin Williams will be encouraged to go nationwide and across Europe simultaneously at 8pmUK / 9pm CET. We love the film and wanted to represent Jersey. We’ve therefore arranged for a screening at the Cinema within the Jersey Museum.

The cost of the show will be £20.00 per person and all profits will go to Mind Jersey. Space is limited and it will be an intimate affair but hopefully enough to recognise a worthy cause and celebrate the life of the man. We’ll be bringing popcorn, the Merchant House is open and drinks are allowed in the auditorium.

Audience members must be 15 years and above. If you’re not Battle of Flowers-ing, loved Robin Williams, care about mental health or all three, hopefully you can join us….
