Tom Ford has just released the latest additions to their Private Blend Collection, called Atelier D’Orient including four scents; Shanghai Lily, Plum Japonais, Rive d’Ambre, and Fleur de Chine. Jessica Vieira, Therapy Spa Manager at Les Roches Spa & Beauty, has been awarded the coveted title of ‘Therapist of the Year’ at this year’s Thalgo Excellence Awards in the UK.
Jessica, who was born in Jersey, demonstrated her enthusiasm for Beauty Therapy since she began studying at Highlands College at the early age of 16. Since she joined the Les Roches Spa Team almost five years ago, she has developed her role progressing from Therapist to Head Therapist to Team Leader, before taking on her more recent role as Therapy Spa Manager.
Les Roches Spa also received Thalgo’s ‘Platinum Award’ for the 6th year running! This award is only held by 13 Spa’s or Salons across the UK and Channel Islands for excellence in beauty. The trophy has been added to the impressive collection already displayed in their Reception. Catherine Cowley, Les Roches Spa Director said “We are very proud of Jess and her award together with our Platinum Award. This is further evidence of the exceptional quality and expertise clients can expect from Les Roches Spa and our team of dedicated, hardworking staff”.

Contrary to popular opinion waxing can be relatively pain free. Now, by using the finest wax, the days of eye watering waxing methods are over. However, to ensure the best results it is important to use the right method and type of wax you need, depending on the area you want to have waxed and the growth of the hair.
Just FYI, your ‘odd’ hair growth IS normal. Women can get pesky hair growing all over random places, we all know to expect it on our legs and armpits but all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, it can suddenly grow on your toes, tummy, face and chest etc; it can sprout up in the most unlikely places, and Waxists have had to deal with it all, so whatever you present them with they won’t even bat an eyelid.
Everyone has a different hair growth type, some people have coarser and more prolific hair, and some have hair which is fine and brittle. That’s why it’s important to ‘prescribe’ the right wax and method.
Lycon is the market leader in wax brands, this is the one all the top London and US spas use. There are three different Lycon waxing methods – Hot Waxing, Lycojet-ing and Strip Waxing each type is best for different types of hair and will allow your waxist to get every single tiny hair as effectively as possible.
Lycon Wax is used at The Beauty House, call  789000 to book.
