‘MIXTAPE’ OPEN VIEW

Private & Public

24th March

With the perfect combination of big stars of pop art and a some local homegrown art talents, the opening night of Private & Public’s ‘Mixtape’ exhibition was rammed. That was in terms of the volume of items hanging on the walls and the bumper to bumper crowd that had almost drunk the bar dry by the time we arrived. And we were on time! The selection of work and  the atmosphere were equally buzzing. From Warhol to Haring, Hockney to Hirst, Emin to Lichtenstein, Opie to Fairey, it’s who’s who of modern art. There’s also strong local artwork so be sure to hunt out something new too.  The exhibition runs until the 18th May so be sure to head in and check it out.
