Dancing in the sky

The Dance World Cup qualifiers as well as Hockey fixtures meant there was a huge demand for inter-island travel between Guernsey and Jersey this week. Blue Islands operated four additional charter flights on behalf of sporting and dance groups as it continues working with local organisations to help fulfil sporting and community commitments.

Rob Veron, Blue Islands’ Managing Director said: “Whether scheduled or charter services, we have the ability to add additional flights where demand allows, not only for sporting fixtures, but also other events where large numbers of people need move between the Channel Islands or to the UK. Flights for last weekend were organised well in advance, allowing clients to choose times and aircraft to meet their exact requirements, with three of the four flights operated on our larger ATR 72 aircraft.”
