Marbral Advisory have become the largest team of GDPR practitioners based locally, with more than five
qualified staff at Foundation level and five qualified staff at Practitioner level. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy. Marbral Advisory has been working in partnership with a leading, global training agency to deliver certified training in the GDPR at Foundation and Practitioner level, has, so far, supported more than 80 delegates from a variety of sectors in Jersey and Guernsey, including the financial services, e-commerce, legal, recruitment, accountancy and the public sector. preparation. The training has not only enhanced our team’s existing knowledge of the regulation but it has allowed our change agents to share their knowledge with our valued clients.” In April 2017, Marbral Advisory launched its first free online tool to support organisations with the GDPR. The GDPR Awareness quiz, has, so far, received more than 2,000 responses from individuals based throughout the world. The quiz helps individuals measure their current understanding of the regulation and offers guidance on what they can do to improve their comprehension. More recently, Marbral Advisory has launched a GDPR General Awareness e-learning course. The course, which takes approximately thirty minutes to complete, allows organisations to quickly and easily embed a general awareness of the new regulation within their organisation, with minimum outlay and investment.
