JTC gets CRO

If there’s one with we love it’s a corporate position acronym. These days everyone seems to be a ‘founder’ but up the chain, that just won’t do. You need letters. Three of them. The obvious goal is CEO. The top dog. But what about the other C(blank)Os? The CTO? The satisfyingly birdcall-like COO? We just heard from their CCO that JTC has appointed a new CRO. According to folklore, a CRO is good luck.

JTC has appointed Richard Ingle. In his role as CRO, Richard, who will be based at the company’s headquarters in Jersey, Channel Islands, will have overall responsibility for the efficient and effective governance of risk management and regulatory compliance across JTC’s global network of 23 offices in 19 different jurisdictions.

Richard brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent more than 30 years in the financial services sector, holding roles in fiduciary services, asset management, private banking and regulatory compliance. He has worked for a number of well-respected institutions including the UK Financial Services Authority (now the FCA), JPMorgan and most recently Standard Chartered Bank, where he spent nine years as the
Channel Island CEO.

Commenting on Richard’s appointment, Nigel Le Quesne, CEO JTC, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Richard to the team. As a publicly listed company operating in a large number of highly regulated markets, the role of CRO is both essential and highly strategic within the business. Richard is a talented executive with an enormous amount of experience and expertise and we are pleased to have attracted someone of his calibre to join the Group as we continue into our fourth decade of growth based on delivering client service excellence and maintaining the highest standards.”

Commenting on his appointment, Richard Ingle, CRO JTC, said:
“I am very pleased to be joining JTC at such an exciting time in its history. The business has an impressive track record and is now a global player providing a range of sophisticated services to both institutional and private clients. The unique shared ownership culture that has been developed over the past 20 years particularly resonated with me and is the ideal foundation for strong governance and risk management as the company continues to grow.”
