Two Jersey Lives?

After the announcement last week that we sadly may not have a Grassroots next year, Positiv+ (the guys behind JerseyLive) have announced their intention to launch a new Mid-Summer Music Festival. The new Festival will be held for the first time in July 2012 and will draw upon local influences, blended with leading international artists, to create a live music event that will be an important addition to the Island’s high-quality event and tourism calendar. Here’s what the organisers had to say….

“The new Festival will be a contrast to Jersey Live and will provide the Island with another high quality music and entertainment event. We fully intend for it to become an important addition to the Island’s event-led tourism offer. We will announce more details very soon along with the name of the new festival event.”

Warren Le Sueur, Director

“The recent sad announcement of the demise of the Grass Roots Festival has caused us to accelerate our own plans to launch an alternative music festival. We have for a long time felt that the appeal and energy of Jersey Live needed to be harnessed in a second music festival, targeting an alternative genre of music and style of event.”
