We’re heading up to the Farmhouse to join new night Toast who have brought over the great Son of Dave in perfect timing to celebrate our 7th Birthday. The 11.11.11 is the perfect date for new beginnings (according to numerology masters anyway!). This is the first of the much anticipated ‘Farm House Sessions’ which promise to deliver a muskeg of musical merriment – with an array of local acts set to play against the backdrop of the coziness of The Farm House and filling… a musical void in the heart of the Jersey countryside.
The 11.11.11 proudly presents, internationally acclaimed Son of Dave: one man band, armed only with harmonica, voice, loop pedal, stomping foot, and uncompromising attitude. Son of Dave hails from Canada, lives in London and was once part of the band, Crash Test Dummies… A one off, a fearless live performer, an outspoken loudmouth, and a genius for a hook laden melody; there’s no one, or nothing, quite like Son Of Dave.
Supporting Son of Dave on 11.11.11 is the Jersey Blues genius’ Giles Robson & The Dirty Aces. Needing very little introduction; Giles and his Dirty Aces have had a successful 2011 thus far… Winning 5 star reviews from across the globe for their latest album, ‘Crooked Heart of Mine’ and playing just about every Blues bar in the UK and being played on radio stations from Chris Evans’ to Tom Robinson’s Radio 6 show… A debut show of this brilliant new album and a few of their old classics, no doubt Giles Robson & The Dirty Aces are the perfect support act for Son of Dave.
Our solo support act is, of course, the mighty Rick Jones. Rick has had a most successful year, selling over 12,000 copies of his EP ‘Eden’ and working on two new projects simultaneously… Rick’s relentless gig schedule has meant he’s been a busy boy. Expect a unique and intimate set from Mr Jones on 11.11.11 with tracks from his latest albums, ‘Damocles’ and ‘Thought and Memory’ as well as his stunning tracks, ‘Sunsets in the West,’ ‘Eden’ and ‘Tomorrow’ to name a few.
