JSPCA Issues Warning Over Heat Wave

The JSPCA have issued a warning to pet owners to be vigilant as temperatures soar throughout the week.

Owners are urged to keep pets in the shade, not forgetting to provide shade for pets living outside such as rabbits, guinea pigs etc. Dog owners are urged to walk their pets early in the day or later in the evening, and to not travel or leave dogs in the car, no matter how short the time.

Members of the public are urged to dial 999 to inform the police if they see a dog in distress in a hot car.
