Jersey Trust Officer Achieves STEP Award
Jade Greenwood, Volaw Trust Company, has achieved the highest score by a Jersey student in the STEP Diploma, recently receiving an award at a Gala dinner held at the Pomme D'Or Hotel.
The Jersey Branch of STEP runs an annual student award scheme every year. There are six categories and the awards are made to students scoring the highest in the examinations taken between October 2009 and September 2010.
Miss Greenwood, who works in Volaw’s Wealth Structuring Team, was the highest scoring Jersey student overall in the STEP Diploma category, which is sponsored by RBS Coutts. She received an engraved silver salver, which she will hold for a year, a replica to keep and a British Airways travel voucher in the sum of £1,100.
Miss Greenwood joined Volaw as a Graduate Trainee in January 2007. Previously she had gained a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol, followed by a Masters in Medical Research at Newcastle University. Wishing to return to Jersey, Jade decided to embark on a career in the offshore finance industry.
