In 2008 we put on a dodgeball tournament… it was great fun and thanks to one of our previous dodgeballers not being a motivated head of fundraising, on Saturday 25th July, 14 magnificent teams of all shapes, sizes and outfits went head to head to battle it out again in the second Gallery Dodgeball Championships to raise money for the BHF Jersey Branch. We were incredibly stoked at the effort and turnout… we’re looking forward to planning 2016! learn a bit more about it all below and register your interest!
The 2016 winners were BB Fitness’s Salad dodgers who showed that a last minute entry still has the chance of a win! The best dressed prize was jointly awarded to our KISS team and the Star Wars team, led by Han Solo, although great efforts were made all round.
This is how it goes down…
This is an adult-only event (18+), at which we hope to throw in some cheeky surprises, including some pumping tunes and complementary t-shirts for all competitors; this will be a great day out for all who attend!
PRIZES: As well as the ultimate title, there were prizes for the best dressed team (fancy dress encouraged) and the team who raises the most money for this awesome cause.
FUNDRAISING: As it is a charity event, we ask that each team supports the BHF’s vital research by fundraising at least £200. Every penny of this will help change lives in Jersey and across the UK.
FACILITIES: Parking & refreshments available on site.
AFTER-PARTY: All team members will receive complimentary tickets to an official Dodgeball after-party. Full details will be announced on the Facebook page, where tickets for non-dodgeballers will also be available.
